We had a quick turnaround for this latest episode, but when a new James Bond movie releases, certain exceptions must be made. Before we launch into whether ‘Spectre’ has a license to thrill, however, there are a couple of TV shows that both Patrick and Stephanie felt like promoting. ABC’s ‘Quantico’ keeps with the spy theme, taking place among a group of FBI recruits under the suspicion that one of them might be a terrorist spy. Stephanie loves all the duplicity and sensitive dudes with long eyelashes, while Patrick questions the screening methods of the FBI recruiting program. Next up Patrick explains why he thinks everyone with a TV should be watching the second season of FX’s masterful ‘Fargo’. Amazingly, he’s even fine with the accents.
Lastly, we get to what may very well be Daniel Craig’s last film in the tailored shoes of superspy James Bond, ‘Spectre’. Stephanie had a blast with what she thought was a more fun tone, while Patrick was neither shaken nor stirred. We both hated the Sam Smith song though, ‘The Writing’s on the Wall”, if that means anything. Also, the movie appears to be missing a clothes-shopping scene.
